Advent Calendar Days 13 to 18

Advent Calendar Day 13:

Dallin --

Happy Santa Lucia day! Remember night walks with heavy tread round farm and bier... What is a bier anyway?

Love your family

Advent Calendar Day 14:

A religious Christmas joke for you today:

What did Adam say to his wife on the day before Christmas?

It's Christmas, Eve!
Love, your family

Advent Calendar Day 15:

Dallin –

Here is a song to make you think of snow and skating on one of those blistering hot Argentine days! And it’s smooth, smooth jazz to boot, what could be better? We love you.

Your Family

Advent Calendar Day 16:

Dallin –

Because you love food! Here is a recipe for one of your favourite Christmas treats… you might even be able to find the ingredients in Argentina!

Captain Crunch Candy:

1 250g bag semi sweet chocolate chips
1 250g bag butterscotch chips
1 400g box of Captain Crunch cereal

Put the cereal into a large bowl (you need to be able to stir it without it falling out of the bowl). On the stove top over low heat melt the chips together (make sure you do it over LOW heat and stir it constantly so that you don’t burn the chocolate). Once the chips are melted pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir well until all the cereal is coated with chocolate. Transfer the cereal onto a cookie sheet and allow to harden. Once the candy is hardened break into pieces and store in an airtight container. Don’t worry about how long it keeps, it will be gone quick!

Love your family!

Advent Calendar Day 17:

Important Christmas factoid found on the Internet:

“Norwegian scientists have hypothesized that Rudolph’s red nose is probably the result of a parasitic infection of his respiratory system.”

Love, your family

Advent Calendar Day 18:

Dallin –

On this day at home the thing that you would have been celebrating is not necessarily Christmas related; your parent’s 21st wedding anniversary!

On this day you can think of two things: the temple (a place where we can make covenants with our Heavenly Father) and that as a result of the sacrifice of our Saviour Jesus Christ families can be together forever! We love you and hope you have a wonderful day!

Love your family
